We are all aware that recession is upon us and the effects are being felt with unemployment reaching significant highs and this having a subsequent effect on interest rates and house prices…. However when will things start to turn around and what safety precautions should we take?

It is fair to say that people are more insecure with their jobs at present and as such are spending less of their spare income and because they have less spare income, retail shops are getting less money and are having to make cut backs which effects cut backs in employment in other industries, it is fast becoming a viscous circle.

Good general advice would be to build up a nice safety reserve on your savings and make cut backs wherever possible.

The good news is that things will get better soon, with predictions that the end of 2009 will start to see a significant improvement in the economy, until then it is just necessary to hang tight.

People taking less holidays

Unfortunately in current times, people are having to make cut backs and one report has stated that upto 1/3 less people are going to take holidays out of state/country this year due to financial constraints.

So what are people going to do? It is reported that a lot more people are taking more days trips with some people not taking anytime off work and actually doing more overtime and saving money due to more fear of being made redundant.

Unfortunately a lot more people are fearful and this reflects in social spending.
The amount of people taking holidays next year is expected to increase to previous levels once more.

There are loads of people out there who do various forms of exercise, there are people who run, there are people who cycle, people will use rowing machines. Then there are people who do more resistance exercise rather then cardio exercise…So which is best?

In a nutshell, a mixture of resistance and cardio exercise is the most beneficial for your hearts/lungs and muscles.

So what resistance and cardio exercises should you do? Cardio wise, you are best to do whatever you prefer however not to limit yourself to one exercise as after all variety is key.
With regards to resistance exercises, ensure you do a mixture of compound movements, e.g. Squats/Deadlifts/Bench press with a mixture of isolation exercises such as bicep curls and leg extensions.

Whatever you do, be determined and stick at it and you will see results.

Months ago it was reported that Google was the most visited site with Youtube being a close second, however a report out recently suggests that Youtube will soon be the most visited site on the internet.

However it may well be that Youtube traffic takes a dramatic turn in visitors due to licensed videos in the UK not being able to be shown due to revenue arguments with performers and with around 70% of Youtube traffic being entertainment traffic then Youtube may be set for a dramatic reduction in traffic.

It wont just be Youtube that will suffer a fall in traffic, but the other video sites will also be effected such as Google video, Metacafe etc too.

Youtube will still have a considerable amount of traffic, with lots of news clips and sports clips being added on a regular basis.
